2D LiDAR Scanner Solutions for Navigation, Mapping and Obstacle Avoidance

IADIY provides the LiDAR Sensor module that integrates environmental sensing, location mapping, navigation, and obstacle avoidance. Our laser scanners feature strong adaptability, simple operation, with documentation and technical support provided. They are suitable for development and integration into cleaner robots, educational robots, service robots, and other robotic applications. IADIY provides two different technologies of LiDAR: ToF (Time-of-Flight) and Triangulation.

ToF LiDAR

ToF LiDARs use a pulsed laser, also known as dToF. The principle is to emit a pulsed laser, measure the time interval between the reflected light pulse and the emitted pulse, and calculate the flight time of the light.
The advantages of ToF LiDAR are its long measurement distance and strong resistance to ambient light.

Triangulation LiDAR

Triangulation LiDAR measures distance by angle calculation. A laser spot projects onto the target object, and the reflected light falls on a sensor at a certain angle depending on the distance. The distance is calculated based on the position of the light spot on the sensor.
This method is suitable for short-range measurements, providing higher accuracy and higher frame rate.

Multi-point Measurement Capability

The LiDAR Sensor Module provides multi-point measurement capabilities. Instead of returning the distance of a single point, it returns measurement results for a line or a surface. For example, a Laser Navigation Module returns line measurement results, while a ToF Camera Sensor Module returns surface measurement results.

These LiDAR modules are widely used in monitoring, detection, obstacle avoidance, navigation, mapping, and model construction. They are also integrated into robots, UAVs, and UGVs.
